Manufactured in 1949. Classic post-War with the Super Grade legend on the floor plate. Bolt has matching etched serial number. Typical Super Grade swivels, black fore-end tip and Winchester grip cap. Stock is oil finished dark walnut with hand cut checkering, straight comb, roll over cheek piece, and Pachmayr waffle pad. The barrel features a hooded ramp front sight, filled rear sight slot, and now sports a vintage period adjustable Lyman Alaskan scope on Redfield mounts. CONDITION: Excellent. Shows as in near new condition with just some light handling marks. Stock has nominal impressions and sharp checkering. The bore is sharp and the action is smooth. The scope has a few age freckles but has a clear cross hair reticle. A beautiful early post war.
