The serial number dates this gun to approximately 1915. This was the largest gauge Ideal produced. The I grade is stamped on water table as well as barrel flats. It features the standard oak leaf engraving on case color side plates and frame. The barrel breech is stamped with the L.C. Smith legend along with the Hunter Arms legend. The ribbed barrel has a single bead front sight and a manual extractor. The base of barrels have the London Steel legend first used in 1913. Also features dual triggers, a checkered walnut pistol grip stock with added white line spacer on cap and a later added Pachmayr white line waffle pad. The checkered splinter forearm has a wooden inset tip, not ebony. CONDITION: Fine showing reapplied blue finish on barrels retaining strong legends. The frame colors have silvered out. Strong blue remains on guard. Stock is solid with sharp checkering as is forearm. Mechanically sound. Bore shows some residue. Stock shows some nominal impressions.
