The Zielfernrohrkarabiner 55 (Zf. Kar. 55) is an updated sniper variant of the K31 straight pull carbine which was produced for the Swiss Army at Bern from 1955 to 1959 with 4,150 built. It features a plum blued heavy barrel with moderator style flash hider, protected blade front sight and 1500 meter tangent rear sight. The iron sights are superseded by matching numbered 3.5x Kern Aarau scope. Target style walnut stock with checkered pistol grip, folding bipod, and steel butt plate. Matching numbers observed throughout. Gun is accompanied by its matching scope case, 1967 dated manual, and leather sling. CONDITION: Excellent. Nearly all of the original blue is retained with a few rubs on the barrel, fading on the flash hider, and scattered light marks. Stock surfaces have been lightly refreshed with some scattered minor impressions. Very fine, crisp and bright bore. Fine mechanics. Optic is lightly clouded.
