Exceedingly scarce, arguably the only known Webley and Scott "WG" single shot target pistol. This very unusual pistol has a 7.75 inch barrel with a screwed in front sight and a drift adjustable rear sight. The barrel rib is marked "P. WEBLEY & SON LONDON AND BIRMINGHAM". Left side of barrel is marked with " 'W G' Target Model" along with the caliber, .450/.455. On the left side of the frame is the winged Webley and Scott bullet logo, along with "Webley Patents". The full serial number is on the right side of the frame, last three digits under barrel, both parts with scattered Birmingham proofs. Major components have been finished with a highly polished midnight blue; hammer and trigger are in the white with checkered gripping surfaces. Walnut grips, with generous upper/lower borders, secured with a single transverse screw. Butt with rotatable lanyard ring. CONDITION: Stunning 98+% bright, original factory blue with equally crisp hammer and trigger, showing no evidence of cleaning. Grips are dark with a few bruises and superficial dings but no cracks. Bright bore with shallow rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A stunning, all original, and super rare big bore Webley target pistol. You may NEVER have a chance to buy another example!
