Circa 1904. Blued lightweight tapered nickel steel barrel with ramped bead top blade front sight and sporting rear. Blued takedown frame. The walnut forend has well executed floral and foliate carving over a punch dot background with crude, deeply cut line borders. The stock has similar floral carving at the wrist, along with a large bas relief bull elk on the left and a standing bear on the right. Mounted with a checkered hard rubber WRACO shotgun butt plate and aftermarket sling swivels. CONDITION: Good as restored and customized. The vast majority of the older, professionally reapplied blue is retained with cleaned surface oxidation throughout. Stocks show wear and use with some losses to the added varnish. Fine, bright bore with sharp rifling. Fine mechanics.
