Manufactured circa 1902 per Madis. Blued nickel steel octagon barrel with tall blade front sight and v-notch rear. The barrel and takedown receiver are both "WP" proofed. 2-piece figured walnut stocks with crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Very good for its age. Barrel and magazine tube retain the vast majority of their factory blue with some thinning, especially along the high edges, as well as other marks. Receiver also displays portions of fading original factory blue, the edges drifting to gray patina with some scratching. Hammer and lever have flashes of bright case colors, the balance faded to patina. Stocks have scuffs and scattered field impressions but are good overall. Well defined bore. Fine mechanics.
