The Winchester frame simply has a serial number on the bridge with a W prefix. This gun has a matching number Winchester bolt and a Winchester front sight. There are no visible legends rear of the front sight, rather, with the two piece forearm removed, there are .303 Nitro stamps with various British proofs along with the GR and crown. "GR" stamp on left side of frame. On both frame and barrel is the "NOT ENGLISH MADE" legend. This rifle still has the WWI era blue finish but the lower stock and rear sight are stamped "E" for Eddystone. The walnut stock has a pistol grip and finger groove fore section. The hand guard is two piece with the rear section not the same hue as other two. Import marked. CONDITION: Fine. The receiver retains nearly all its blue finish with some handling marks. The floor plate and trigger guard show some blue with handling marks and patina. Buttplate has some dulling blue. The barrel and bands retain majority of blue. Stock shows some dings and light impressions. Bore is sharp.
