Recent manufacture. Blued steel barrel with drift adjustable front sight. Faux Colt's single line address on top. Faithful reproduction with flattop case colored frame with folding leaf rear sight. One piece highly figured walnut grip with extended hammer screw to facilitate the attaching of the supplied brass shoulder stock. Manufactured in the known Buntline serial range this example is serial No. 28820. Black powder pattern frame and bullseye ejector. The only indications this revolver was made by Aldo Uberti are two small markings found on the interior of the trigger guard and backstrap, both are marked with an "AU". Numbers where found to be matching on underside of barrel, cylinder, grip, frame, backstrap and trigger guard. Assembly numbers where observed on underside of frame and loading gate. Brass detachable shoulder stock is No. 10 on toe and fits well when attached. This is a wonderful recreation of the iconic Buntline Special as carried by Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson. Very fine overall as being artificially aged on barrel and grip straps to give the appearance of being older than actuality. Bore and mechanics are excellent and crisp. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
