(M) HEYM 88B .450/400 NE SIDE BY SIDE DOUBLE RIFLE WITH CASE
Shoe lump barrels with a white composite front sight on an island with a smooth ramp sweated to muzzle, third length matted rib with rounded point an express rear sight with two leaves, one standing, one folding, with enamel express lines. Rib extension with Greener style crossbolt. Underside of rib with island with eye sweated to rib. Barrel tubes with nitro proofs ahead of barrel flats, flats marked with nitro proofs for a Heym 88B chambered in .450/400 NE 3" circa 2007. Extractor. Low profile beavertail forearm with Deely style latch release and two panels of point pattern checkering. Boxlock action with serial number at action flats and a German nitro proof. Underside of action with "HEYM". Double triggers, front hinged, with non-automatic safety, firing position for safety indicated by a spot of red paint in allen key slot, break-open lever flanked by pair of brass firing pin indicators. Walnut stock of a restrained wave grain with sidepanels, pistol grip, steel pistol grip cap, two panels of point pattern checkering at the wrist, eye on stud at toe line, shadowline cheekpiece, fluted nose, and Universal brown recoil pad. Housed in a Heym branded plastic case. CONDITION: Very good, with some scattered handling marks and rubs, barrels with some mottling and freckling, primarily in front half towards muzzle. Stocks with scattered handling marks and rubs with errant heavier impression, a few abraded heads. Stocks very good with scattered handling marks, heavier to top of wrist. Mechanically fine, bore excellent with strong, bright rifling and a touch of firing residue. A well handling example in a classic caliber.
