The Nosler Model 48 is a semi-custom rifle done by Nosler to accompany their more limited Custom Limited Edition rifles. Offered in 10 different chamberings and designated as the Model 48 in tribute to John Nosler, who started his bullet business in 1948. This example is engraved on right side of the barrel "NUMBER 35 of 50". Other markings including caliber designation at barrel shank, receiver with serial number, "Nosler M48" and "BEND, OREGON"; magazine bottom metal with John Nosler's signature. Mounted with a Leupold VX-3L 3.5-10x40mm SFP scope with duplex reticle. Walnut stock with panels of point pattern checkering on either side of forearm and about the wrist, pistol grip, shadowline cheekpiece, and Nosler branded black rubber recoil pad. Sling studs at forearm and toe line. Housed in a Cruzer case with French cut foam for rifle, scope box, and Nosler custom insert, with accessories comprising Leupold scope box and factory manual. CONDITION: Excellent, NOS or equivalent, with some very minor handling marks scattered throughout the all original finishes to wood and metal. Mechanically fine, bores are bright and shiny with some light evidence of firing residue, probably from proof. Case is fine.
