Circa 2012. Italian made 28 gauge boxlock fit with 29" chopper lump blued round steel barrels, ejectors, 2 - 3/4" chambers, tapered machined concave game rib with a brass font sight and choked Modified on left and Improved Cylinder on right. The side of the left barrel reads "FLLI PIOTTI - ITALY". The barrel flats have Italian proof marks, serial number (A228), "28-70" in script and Piotto's logo. While the bottom of the barrels also have Italian proof marks, both barrels marked "13.8" and the right barrel is also marked "KG 1,050". The The back scalloped coin finished body is adorned with rose bouquets and scroll engraving signed by L. Vibrioni on the right side of the trigger plate by the trigger guard and a gold inlaid "S" ahead of the engraved and checkered safety slide. The action is fit with double triggers protected by a right edge rolled trigger guard extending to a long bottom strap with the serial number "A228" engraved, non-automatic safety and an engraved top lever checkered on the left side. The action flats have Italian proof marks, "FLLI PIOTTI", serial number "A228" and Piotti's logo. Nicely figured reddish-brown straight hand grip Turkish walnut stock with point pattern checkering with borders and a checkered butt. Splinter forend with Anson type push button release that is similarly checkered with engraved escutcheon tip, forend diamond and knuckle. Interior metal of forend with serial number "A228". Gun comes in original box with papers (in leather wallet) and sleeves. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain 99% of original blue. Barrels are tight, triggers are crisp, and ejectors are strong. Buttstock and forend with light handling/storage marks. Box in fair to good condition. Nice gun; as new.
