The live portion of this session begins on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
As per the consignor this rifle was built by Mike Lau at Texas Brigade Armory. While outside of the accepted action and scope ranges, this is an excellent representative example of the M40A1 as issued to the United States Marine Corp. Barrel marked "7.62 NATO" at left side of shank, clip slotted receiver with later applied "US" over serial number, with Remington 700 bottom metal. Fit with a Unertl 10x fixed power scope with mil-dot reticle, classic woodland camo green-and-brown stock with sling bows at toeline and forearm. Old English brown recoil pad. There is a faint Sharpie marking near gas escape port that appears to be a 1.631 headspace marking. CONDITION: Very good used condition with scattered handling marks and rubs throughout, still retaining the vast majority of the later phosphate finish. Stock with scattered handling marks and impressions commensurate, stock with deterioration about the perimeter. Mechanically fine, bore with strong rifling and some minor frosting. Glass is clear and throws tactilely.
