(M) SCARCE SIG SG 550-2 SP SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE WITH CASE.
The 550-2 SP was introduced around 1990. Manufactured in Switzerland and imported by SIGARMS in limited numbers, likely only a few hundred. The phosphate finished barrel has an integral cage flash hider. Hooded blade front sight with flip up night sight mounted to the adjustable gas block. Drum style rear sight. Gray enamel finished stamped construction receiver with Swiss cross and shield, "BP" Swiss proof, and standard legends. Externally visible numbers are matching. Furniture includes a ribbed olive forend with folding alloy bipod, ribbed olive pistol grip, and side folding olive stock. This well accessorized example is housed in its appropriate SIG branded hard case with 2 magazines, manual, cheek riser, sling, scope base, cleaning tools, and a bayonet. CONDITION: Excellent, as new with faint handling and other light marks. Crisp, bright bore. Fine mechanics. An outstanding example.
