Sought after and popular Auto Ordnance Model 1928 A22 Thompson machine gun in .22 Long Rifle. Auto-Ordnance made a very limited number of these cute little Thompson guns out of aluminum and steel parts in the 1980’s. They retained the patent dates “Auto Ordnance Corporation, West Hurley, NY" address on the right side of the receiver and just added the “A22” and “.22 LR” caliber to the left side receiver markings. The receiver, compensator, and much of the other furnishings are aluminum. Barrel exterior is also aluminum with an inserted steel barrel. This is factory original. This very light machine gun retains the features of a detachable wooden buttstock, vertical foregrip, and Cutts compensator. This specimen includes one 30 round stick magazine with white sticker lable, “tested” on both sides. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent original anodized black finish with some handling marks. Wood is also extremely fine and very attractive. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face also extremely fine. Mechanics are fine. This is a select fire machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2019-10-129
