This electric automaton was originally designed to advertise constipation pills, where it shows a gentleman sitting in a chair laughing, evidently having taken those constipation pills. It was later imported to the United States by Euclid Beach Park, where it was used at the entrance of the park to welcome guests. Electric operation. The man gyrates and laughs when in operation. CONDITION: The stand is not original, but it looks great on the stand. The wood constructed base is original, as are the clothing to the gentleman. Fully operational. A great piece of advertising and amusement park memorabilia. PROVENANCE: From the lifelong collection of Bill Howard.
This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
