This lot consists of a 14K yellow gold, opal and diamond ring, with a size between 5-1/2 and 5-3/4. The ring has a total dwt of 3.5. On the interior of the band, 14K is stamped along with makers marks. The manner in which the ring was assembled, it appears to be dome shaped, with opals and two small round diamonds. The two small diamonds are bezel set, with each being approximately 0.05 points (together an approximate total of 0.10 points). At the very center of the ring, there is a circular cut opal that rests above the other opals present. Filigree and scrolling is present on the ring, to give it an antique look. This ring is accompanied by an AIG Gem Laboratory report (Trace No. K99J8 and Appraisal No. 000716172084), dated June 2016, that was created for the use of an estimated retail value appraisal. Present in this ring, are the following according to the AIG report: eight oval shaped cabochon opals that are bezel set that have the approximate measurements of 4.50 mm x 3.50 mm x 1.80 mm. These eight opals would be approximately 1.44 carats. One round cabochon bezel set opal with the approximate measurements of 2.80 mm x 2.80 mm x 1.20 mm. This opal would be approximately 0.60 carats. Another eight opals that are bezel set and round cabochon shaped. These opals have the approximate measurements of 2.30 mm x 2.20 mm x 1.00 mm and would be approximately 0.06 carats. And finally, another eight opals that are also bezel set round cabochons that have approximate measurements of 1.50 mm x 1.40 mm x 0.51 mm. These opals would have an approximate total of 0.08 carats. All together the approximate weight of all the opals is 1.82 carats and the total weight of the ring is 5.31 gm. Overall the ring is in good condition with normal wear present.
