Guard elaborately pierced with flowers and designs, the hilt with one bar knuckle guard, well fashioned. Spirally fluted pommel, cast and chased with a flower. The long, slender blade with fuller stamped "ABHD" and other relief decorations. Spiral wire bound grip with two Turks heads. CONDITION: Guard with minor cracks and losses, deeply patinated. Hilt en suite with guard. Pommel in good condition. Grip wire in good condition. Blade with dark patination but no significant pitting. Sword is tight and would be ready for use by an aggrieved gentleman. A nice transitional rapier.
