AFTER AN ENGLISH CULVERIN
Cast brass octagonal barrel in two stages with wide wedding rings and cannon muzzle. Raised "W W 1396" ahead of touch hole, offset "V / P". Pin fastened to a darkly stained stock with pommel butt. CONDITION: Brass with evidnece of casting and artifical aging, stock with hadnling marks and rubs to sharp edges. Air flows through touch hole cleanly, bore smooth with evidence of machining.
