C. 1946. Manufactured by AMI, which stands for Automatic Music Instruments. This particular machine is affectionately known as the "Mother of Plastic." Only 1,200 of these produced, compared to 115,000 of the famous Wurlitzer Bubbler built that same year. The promotional gimmick was the placement of the 15" speaker in the top of its nearly 6' high cabinet, giving it the ability to reach everyone in the room. This machine is much simpler than its competitors and able to play both sides of the record. It has become a very rare and highly-desired product. CONDITION: Good plus overall, with all jewels along the bottom-center intact, all plastic free of breaks and cracks and with great patina for this original machine. Push-board keyboard is in fantastic condition, showing graphics of stars and stripes. Original song cards are present.
This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.Condition: (Good Plus).
Item Dimensions: 38" x 26" x 68".
