This hand cranked 50 key cylinder organ originated by the firm of Andreas Ruth and Sohn of Waldkirch, Germany and has the serial number 3171. It has a beautiful ornate façade with trumpets and actual operating piccolos. This instrument is all original, only the bellows have been restored. The organ plays beautifully, and is a great home size at just over 5' in height and 4 - 1/2' feet in width. It contains roughly 110 pipes and is a forerunner to some of the beautiful Ruth organs in collections today and was featured in the book "Waldkirch Street and Fairground Organs". This example represents one of the more ornate examples of a Ruth organ that exists today, and is in amazing condition for an instrument built in the late 19th century. If you only wanted one in your collection, this is the one to have!
