ANTIQUE ABERCROMBIE & FITCH CO. NEW YORK LEATHER CARTRIDGE MONEY BELT.
Their store opened in NYC in 1892. They were never a manufacturer but supplied all types of hunting guns and equipment. A&F sourced their leather gear from premier saddle makers and applied their trade brand. This belt is stamped Abercrombie & Fitch New York on the keeper. This cartridge money belt would hold coins, has a paper money flap on front that measures 12" in length and the cartridge loops were fitted for the .44 / .45 caliber. The buckle is made of heavy brass. The width of the belt is 3". Belt measures 41" from post to furthest hole. CONDITION: Excellent. All cartridge loops are intact, the saddle quality leather is still soft and supple and the stitching is still strong.
