This is a beautiful Brazilian rosewood music box with mixed wood inlay, playing a 16" six aire tune cylinder by an unknown maker. The sound plate is marked with serial number "12145 B". The comb is alternating tip and the music box comes with the original table with drawer and two additional cylinder. There is significant inlay to the top, to the front of the music box, as well as the top edges to the table. There are areas where the inlay is lifting, where there has been repair, however the table has a great look, as well as the music box. There is a stress crack in the lid extending from the middle all the way to the edge in the lower third of the top, it shows light surface scratches to the finish, as well as some areas of lifting veneer. Nothing at all that distracts from the overall brilliance and beauty of this music box. Mechanically, it plays well and is in operating condition.
