BERT WINNIE PERCH DECOY

Traverse City, MI carver Bert Winnie, along with his brother Art, were both Barbers by day, and accomplished fishermen by night. Their most successful lure invention was the Stump Dodger, but during the Teens and Twenties, they also produced decoys mimicking several different species. This Perch has five hand-cut fins, one rectangular belly weight, and a nice Perch-pattern paint job, with pinkish sides and olive bars. It has some agelines and a bit of paint missing from fins, and it grades Very Good Plus.
