BOXED HEDDON 156 MINNOW GOLD, RED EYES

Dating to the late 1920’s, this striking version of collector-favorite Gold finish comes with a white nose and brightly-painted red eyes. While Gold was a catalogued color on the earlier cup-rigged 150s, the later L-rigged models had to be special ordered. This Excellent Minus bait has perfect glass eyes, minor scattered varnish flakes, and the Gold body has mellowed to a deep, rich chocolatey tone. The upleaping box grades about Excellent Minus, has the color code label still attached to the bottom, and is stamped on at least one end panel, but the stamp is too faint to read.
