A real nice A&W 1889 patent single guard, wire bottom lantern made for the Burlington Route. The lantern frame is in very good condition with minor pitting and a cleaned patina. The bayonet fount is correct for this model and is fitted with a No. 1 ratchet burner. The clear extended base No. 39 globe is nicely embossed "CB&QRR" in strong lettering relief. There is minor flaking on the base fitter and less on the top. This is a real nice lantern. Rating is 8.
Condition: (Excellent).
Item Dimensions: 10 - 5/8" x 7 - 3/8" x 7 - 3/8".
