4 strands of Abraham Lincoln’s hair preserved under glass in a photographic case mounted on top of a period oval engraved portrait. The case is a period leatherette photographic case with gilt blind stamped borders, embossed floral motifs, and embossed red velvet facing pad. The oval opening has a thin and thick printed gilt border and narrow border lines at the very edges. CONDITION: Very good. This has a solid provenance from a nationally prominent collection.
