This cast iron box match vending machine is made by the Specialty Manufacturing Co., Chicago, Illinois. This particular version shows a front casting with two dragons and a front window with the original advertising for matches, 1¢ per box. It has original front casting and is in fully operational condition. There is significant plating loss to the match dispenser itself, as well as some surface oxidation and staining to the front advertising card, however it is all original and a great match vending machine, sought after by collectors. Proceeds from the sale of this lot are being donated by the consignor to the Fayette Regional Humane Society in Washington Court House OH.
