20th century. American. In the "Constitution" style, with carved swan's neck pediment terminating in large flower heads, centering a spread wing Phoenix on a C-scrolled parcel gilt support. The rectangular mirror plate within an egg and dart molded surround, within a geometric outer molding flanked by reticulated floral vinery fillets, above the undulating apron. Areas of gilding loss throughout, mirror plate intact, structurally good.
