D.E. WALKER VISALIA, CA BROWN TOOLED LEATHER SADDLE, G.A.R. INITIALED
Classic late 19th century California stock saddle by the famed D.E. Walker Co. Saddle shows moderate period wear, but is very solid overall. Replaced latigos and some lacing as typically found on working rigs. Period wood and brass trimmed stirrups. Rear top of inside cantle stamped: VISALIA STOCK SADDLE / WALKER & WEGENER / -MAKER- / SAN FRANCISCO. CAL. Measurements:15" seat, 3-3/4" cantle and 41" long from horn to stirrups. From the Phil Spangenberger Hollywood western movie collection. CONDITION: Very good. Wool padding is in very good condition and was most likely replaced at some point.
