A real nice example of a Roberts Safety Lantern made by the Star Headlight & Lantern Co. for the Lackawanna RR. The lantern is in nice, smooth condition with some minor cleaning apparent. The fount is intact with functioning parlor match turret and geared wick raiser, characteristic of this lantern model. The match striker is intact on the burner. The extended base, No. 39, cobalt blue globe is spectacular, with heavily embossed "DL&WRR" in fancy serif. This is a great lantern. Scale rating is 9.5.

Condition: (Near Mint).
