A 1920s Decap Dance Organ, highly regarded for its monstrous size, gorgeous facade and magical sound. Standing at almost ten feet tall, it is housed in a beautiful oak cabinet with nicely chiseled trim around the arched center. Finished with Victorian woodwork on almost every front panel with black details complimenting the intricate wood carvings. Crowned with a floral motif atop the railing and accompanied by polychromatic beaded light fixtures with brass hardware, perfectly matching the leaded stain glass art panels. To the left of the glass is small crack. There has been $33,000 worth of recent internal restorations, performed by the famed Johnny Verbeeck of Belgium and was appraised at $65,000. The automatic musical instrument contains many ranks of pipes, a base drum, a snare drum, a triangle, a cymbal and wood blocks. In perfect working order with the sounds of magic resonating through every room. Through his love for the accordion and repairing organs, Alois Decap established his factory in Belgium and opened its doors at the beginning of the 20th century. The company is still running today, creating progressive automatic instruments. Only one other of this model is known to exist. Includes an additional box of rolls. Previously owned in a private collection, comprised of many stunning band organs, orchestrions and dance organs such as this. It has been loved, well-kept and awaits its new home.
