Cast bronze after the famous 18th British Coehorn Mortars used in the American Revolution. It measures 10 - 3/4" with a 3 - 5/8" bore. It features a large raised crowned "GR" cypher of King George and a raised "M". Trunnions are cast with "W. MEVSE FECIT 1757" signature. Left trunnion is numbered "NO: 2" and the right marked stamped "0:1:20". William Meuse was a historian for the National Park Service and cannon aficionado who had these guns cast. CONDITION: Very good with a mellow patina and some minor verdigris. Vent is clear.
