EDWARD BARNES & SONS U (star) S. Ribbon on blade face reads "THE REAL U (star) S KNIFE" below the ribbon are the words "HUNTERS COMPANION". 8" spear point blade, 12 - 3/4" overall. Handled in genuine stag with heavy brass full guard correct sheath bearing gold line decoration and gold "U (star) S" embossed in the leather. Nickel silver tip and throat. Complete with frog attachment. CONDITION: Very good. Blade has pitting, has been cleaned. This knife would appear to be American but was actually made in Sheffield, England. Circa 1833-1838.
