DSP. Sign is maker marked SP & Dated 1960. A very nice example of this large porcelain sign from Enco Gasoline showing excellent red, white and blue coloring throughout each side. CONDITION: Side one shows excellent color and gloss throughout the field showing clean lettering with minor areas of surface scratching as well as approximately twenty pencil eraser sized touch ups in the field, mostly in the white. The outer edge shows minor chipping at the mounting holes as well as along the outer edge but overall very clean, Grade 8.0. Side two also shows excellent color and gloss but shows heavy areas of light chipping scattered throughout the field as well as some minor surface scuffing. The outer edge shows minor areas of chipping but overall very clean, Grade 7.75. Although the piece shows some chipping it displays well and has excellent color and gloss.
