AGS CERTIFIED #11606. SSP. A nice example of this C. 1940's single sided porcelain sign from Marathon featuring the runner graphic with the iconic tag line "Best in the long run." CONDITION: This sign is exceptionally clean with no significant damage to report. There is one small tiny porcelain chip in the runner's forward leg. Otherwise, the sign remains clean with nice borders and edges. The mounting holes along the top show the smallest amount of wear and chipping. The gloss and color is outstanding. This piece comes with a nice steel ring for easy hanging. A difficult example to upgrade.
