FINE ENGRAVED HALBERD WITH HAFT.

Central cruciform spike that measures approximately 20" before transitioning to a square base with incised designs of florals and a deeply impressed poincon; likely a maker's mark, but difficult to make out. "Blades" in the form of birds with incised designs, with fluke measuring approximately 2" and a 4 - 1/4" cutting edge across the concave. Oversized crosspin with a simple incised keeper for the languets. Languets of four tongues with repaired. Later haft with iron base. CONDITION: Very good with some scattered darkness throughout. Languets have several splice repairs replacing sections of each tongue. Half with typical handling marksthroughout.
