A unique mid to late war German WWII Heer enlisted Panzer wrap uniform made in a black wool which appears to be unworn. The wear appears to have been from storage over the years. A Panzer enlisted eagle is sewn on the right breast in the correct manner. The swastika is had sewn and the remainder of the eagle is machine sewn. There is a 1/2 cut on right side of the eagle above the wingtip and below the stitch line. There are no collar tabs, as this later wrap has the pink "Russian braid" applied directly to the collar. The braid is machine sewn through the collar, and while the right braid is completely intact, the braid on the left side is damaged and partly separated. The original aluminum Panzer skulls are applied directly through the collar, with the left skull having two aluminum pins, and the right skulls with two brass pins. The shoulder straps are not removeable and been factory sewn down with a machine stitch line visible on the inside. The "Russian braid" was machine applied directly to the strap before ether were sewn to the shoulders. The straps where sewn into the shoulders before the straps were sewn down. A shoulder board button is sewn down on each strap, through the standard type button hole. The braid on the left strap is completely intact, which the one on the right exhibits the same type of damage as the left collar. The uniform closes via four large black glass buttons on the rights side, as well as with four smaller black glass buttons. Both cuffs are secured with a small black glass button as well. The interior of the uniform has light gray partial lining with the maker mark (RBNr) and size stamps are on the left pocket lining. The cotton lining has a 1/4 inch hole near the left shoulder, as well as a couple of snags. Several light stains are present on the lower edge of the pocket linings. Both sides of the wrap have four closed belt hook stitch lines, and each belt hook strap on the inside has six machine sewn hook holes. Each inner side has two black HBT tie straps. CONDITION: An unworn Panzer wrap jacket with damage to the braid, as well as very light damage overall from storage. Excellent to near mint.
