The steel blade of this Kriegsmarine dagger is acid etched with a anchor central motif. The reverse side of the ricasso is maker marked for the firm of "Carl Eicklhorn". The blade is nickel plated with areas of scattered freckling. The brass guard and pommel cap retain approximately 15% of their original gilding. The wire wrapped white trylon grip has a light nicotine patina. The brass scabbard has 85% of the original gilding remaining. A light dent can be seen on the scabbards lower obverse side.
