20th century. This outstanding dolls' house was made by Mickie's father and it incorporated all the details one could desire in a Bebe style doll's house. It is 7'-6" tall, 5'-8"wide, and 28" deep. The steps were made separately for one to climb up on to get a better view. The house opens in sections from the front and there are keys to keep it locked. Twelve spacious rooms were created on four floors with Bird's Eye Maple and Black Walnut woods. Beautiful inlaid floors of parquetry were made for each room. All flooring was hand-made, each piece cut individually and laid by hand. Incredible carved baseboards and crown moldings were installed along with mantles made around the antique cast iron fireplaces. Mickie decorated the interior of the rooms in the theme of the grand Victorian lifestyle. She used fine vintage papers on the walls and installed lighting in each room. Without a doubt, she made her collection come alive in a setting that most of us can only dream of ever seeing. It is unlikely that dolls' houses of this magnitude will ever be built again.
