The Streamliner, model 6189, is a stunning guitar manufactured by Gretsch and was only produced for a brief period of time in the late 1950s. This particular 1956 guitar features the "Electromatic" text on the headstock which was later removed in 1957. The hollow body is constructed of maple with a rare yellow bamboo finish and copper mist sides, shaped pearl inlays on the rosewood fretboard, a single pickup and chrome hardware. Complete with original "G" tail piece, copper mist Gretsch pickguard and Melita Synchro-Sonic bridge. Bears the serial no. 17827. There is minor wear throughout with visible scratches on the neck between frets. Includes original hardshell case. One of the finest models ever to be made by Gretsch!
