Rare and Unusual Unnamed Open Face Pocket Watch in Gunmetal (Blued Steel) With Perpetual Calendar Complications & Moon Phase. Circa late 19th century. Stem wind. Pin set. Case measures 53mm in diameter, and is marked "Acier Garanti" which simply translates to "Guaranteed Steel" in French. The case is also numbered "54938-1" inside of both covers. The movement is numbered "7341" but is otherwise unmarked. The case has some losses to the original bluing, and one area of light surface rust as well. The watch is a pin-set type. The are a few hairline cracks to the dial, and the second hand at the six o'clock position is missing. This watch is an excellent candidate for restoration, and would make a great addition to any serious collection.
Condition: (Good-Very Good).
