Handel lamp has reverse painted shade with fish swimming among aquatic plants against a mottled green background with chopped ice texture exterior. The shade rests on an original cast bronze base with a mermaid holding a giant clamshell on her shoulder, supporting the ribbed stem that leads to a three-socket cluster and a fleur-dis-les cap. Base is finished in a rich red-brown patina with subtle green highlights. Shade is signed "Handel 6807". Base is unsigned. There is a stitched label that reads "Handel" attached to bottom felt.
Condition: (Excellent).
