This wonderful liquor display for Harper Whiskey dates back to the turn of the 20th century. The chalk with reinforced horsehair construction is consistent with the preferred material of that time. This display can be illuminated by placing a nightlight bulb inside the figure, causing the tiger's eyes in the unopened bottle to glow before the viewer. CONDITION: There are some light areas of paint loss, primarily to the raised edges of the chalk figure. There is some slight chipping to the external edges of the chalk, but nothing to distract from this monumental 3D piece of advertising. PROVENANCE: From the lifelong collection of Bill Howard.
