Form is indicative of Italian origin, with a cruciform stilleto blade. Squared ricasso with slightly recessed flats on obsverse and reverse. Guard with arms slightly forward swept and ring, chiselled with floral engraving on a slightly stippled ground on obverse, reverse plain. Twisted wire grip with turks head at top, bottom with ferrule with ovoid pommel, engraved en suite with obverse of guard. CONDITION: Overall good, metal has areas of oil staining and some pitting towards ricasso and guard, with nice delamination visible in areas. Guard engraving somewhat obfuscated by oxidation. Wire wrap appears to have been lacquered at some point, obscuring finer details of turks heads. Pommel is good, details obscured en suite with the guard, capstan is unmolested. Formerly part of the Allan Klein Collection.
