LARGE IVES CAST IRON HORSE DRAWN HANSOM CAB

C.1890. Large Ives Hansom Cab, American cast-iron horse-drawn toy, featuring an unusually large and detailed brown horse, black cab body, large red spoked wheels, and elevated rear driver’s position. This is an uncommon Ives variation and has strong visual presence due to the scale and animated modeling of the horse. The driver figure is a replacement. There is a repair at the kickboard/front carriage area, apparently where the casting was previously cracked or broken.

Condition: (Very Good).

Item Dimensions: 13 - 1/4" x 3 - 3/4" x 6 - 3/4".
