Lot consists of bullets, shell fragments, buttons, partial spur, knapsack hooks, complete excavated Spencer (and non-excavated pinfire and carbine cartridges,) etc. with find locations noted for subgroups: Richmond, Petersburg, Cub Run, Aquia Creek, etc., also about 50 bullets identified in india ink, including carbine and pistol rounds, CS Gardner, Enfield, .58 and .69 Minie, and a 2 part Shaler. 6 bullets and shell fragments from Lynchburg; 8 large and 6 small eagle buttons from the "Shaler Camp;" 3 smaller trays of miscellaneous bullets, scabbard tip, gun tool, buttons (including 2 or 3 Colonial) from Cub Run, Wilderness, and Richmond/Petersburg area. CONDITION: Excavated.
