This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 8/29/2014
The first napkin ring in the lot depicts a Kate Greenaway-type lady in a long gown and large bonnet standing on the small, fancy, square base, which has scrolled feet. She balances the napkin holder with her hands. The piece appears old, and seems a bit rough, someone tried to clean with silver polish, some of which is still on the figure. The second napkin ring depicts a mother sitting on an oval napkin holder, and is drinking the baby bottle for which the child in her arms is reaching. The mother's left foot rests on a small bench, and another pair of shoes rests on the raised, unusually shaped base. There appears to be marks on the base, but it is not possible to read them. The piece is very heavy and may be European.
Condition: (Good).
