The first napkin ring depicts a large monkey on a square, footed base. The base is marked "Simpson, Hall, Miller, & Co., No. 32". The Simpson, Hall, Miller, & Company catalogue shows No. 32 as this monkey holding a "basket" toothpick holder, so this piece did not start out as a napkin holder. There is some silver loss, but the condition is otherwise good. The second napkin ring has a frog wearing boots and standing on a raised, round base. He holds an umbrella toothpick holder in one hand and a napkin holder on his back. This piece may be European. The last napkin ring is a very unusual piece. A man in a top hat stand atop a raised, round base and holds an umbrella toothpick holder in his right hand, and his left arm resting on the napkin holder. The body of the man appears to be a nut. There are no manufacturing marks and recent solder marks on his right hand indicate that the umbrella must detached and put back on. The piece could possibly be European.
Condition: (Good).
