Serial No. 13593. This was a standard issue martially marked World War I big frame double action revolver chambered for the .45 ACP utilized during the first World War. It is standard in all respects with a U.S. property stamped 5-1/2" barrel, "U.S. Army" stamp on butt, inspector stamp on left of frame, and smooth walnut grips. The barrel retains virtually all of the original high polish factory blue. The cylinder retains all of the factory blue with just high edge wear. The sides of the frame retain virtually all of the factory blue starting to patina on top strap and front side of frame. Backstrap retains approximately 50% original blue, while the front grip strap is basically grey. Brilliant case colors on trigger. Sides of hammer retain all their oil serration. Mint bore and smooth as silk action. This gun did not see much use.
