Circa 1875. From the collection of Rita Ford Music Boxes, this antique music box was made by the renowned firm, "B.A. Bremond" of Geneva, Switzerland. The rare "Mandoline-Harp-Piccolo" arrangement is featured among 8 tunes. This is a 13” cylinder music box playing on two combs with a zither attachment. When several teeth tuned to the same note are plucked in succession, a strumming affect is created. A second comb dedicated to the treble register creates the piccolo affect with many trills and arpeggios resulting in superior arrangements and tone. It retains its original tune card. The case is burl walnut with satinwood and tulipwood inlays. It is a quality movement that has recently undergone complete restoration to both the case and movement.

Condition: (Excellent).

Item Dimensions: 20" x 10" x 7 - 1/2".
